Genuine Resource welcomes pitches that make a careful, specific case for using household objects and materials well, without treating every leftover as a project.
What to pitch
We consider clear explanations of materials, thoughtful comparisons between ordinary options, object histories, and grounded ideas about reuse, care, repair or storage. A strong pitch names its central question, the reader it serves and the particular angle that makes it worth reading.
What makes a good contribution
Keep the scope focused and the claims proportionate. Explain what a reader will understand or be able to consider afterwards. Avoid advice that requires specialist work, hazardous materials, local rule checks or unverified claims; include reliable sources for factual claims when appropriate.
How to send a proposal
Send proposals through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. Include a working title, a short summary and a brief description of your relevant experience. Do not send confidential information or a complete article unless requested.
